Scope of Works:

Project was a collaboration of the Fraser Coast Council and the state governments Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme. Works in an urban environment covering two signalised intersections from Pallas to Ferry streets, as a high volume primary route to the CBD and Bruce Highway. It was also in close proximity to the Maryborough hospital with frequent ambulance and emergency vehicle traffic.

Services that increased complexity included lowering of water services throughout the project, installation of electrical pits at signalised intersection, reinstatement of traffic detector loops and red-light camera detector loops, gas main in close proximity to longitudinal stormwater and installation of conduits.

The extent of scope of works involved:

  • Clearing and grubbing inclusive of the potential removal of existing AC water main
  • Earthworks including placement of geotextiles
  • Stormwater drainage
  • Kerb and channel
  • Subsoil drainage
  • Flexible pavement construction
  • Removal of existing surfacing
  • Surfacing (sprayed seal and asphalt)
  • Pavement marking and signage
  • Fencing
